1.  What the heck is “AKGTC” ?!?

The Kids’ Guide to Canada project – Un guide du Canada it’s an innovative teacher-led initiative which provides K-8 students across Canada with the opportunity to build a guide to Canada written BY children and FOR children – and an opportunity to learn and teach each other about the land and people of Canada from coast to coast to coast.

.

.

2.  Wow, that’s sound really great – but where do I begin?!?

First, you check out the website and Kids Guide:

akgtcanada.com

And then, as long as you are an elementary teacher in Canada

YOU REGISTER!

.

.

.

3. OK, so how does my class get started?

.

 You get started with a

K.I.S.S…

.

.

3  OK, we’re on the map…. NOW what?

.

Now you connect with other classes across Canada!

.

.

…\

.

But how the heck do we FIND classes on the map to connect with them?

.

YOU USE YOUR OTHER FREE ACCOUNT

and the PRIVATE SECURITY

of the

DIGITAL HUMAN LIBRARY

.

.

.

..

.

.

5 Are there any OTHER ways we can connect with classes across Canada?

ABSOLUTELY!

.

.

    • track each jay’s journey from class to class across a map of Canada

    • watch LIVE student webcasts of the jays’ adventures from each “airbnb” host classroom

    • Participation in a new circle is closed this year.  Requests to join a circle next year are being accepted by email at any time.

  •

.

.

.

7   BUT WHAT IF WE CAN’T REMEMBER ALL THIS?!?

.

IT’S ALL THERE  FOR YOU

in the

PRIVATE TEACHER SPACE

with a complete NAVIGATION MENU

of everything you might need.

8  OK. So now what?!?

NOW YOU INVITE ME TO YOUR CLASS

TO WORK WITH YOUR KIDS!

..

.

,.

.

,.

WELL, AT LEAST START IMAGINING HOW YOU’LL GET STARTED….
