OBJECTIVES / LEARNING GOALS
To celebrate uniqueness and diversity of communities across Canada
Welcome back from summer! Every week, the Kids’ Guide project challenges students to capture and share the uniqueness of their neighbourhood community. Participate one week’s activity, or participate in them all!
This week’s challenge is to ask your students to pick words that represents their academic or personal goals for the year. Challenge them to think and discuss how they would like to make a positive difference in their school, community and/or in their own life this year, and how they might make that happen.
Then pick any kind of creative format such as a Word Cloud, Wordle, drawing, printmaking, writing, magazine clippings, etc. to have students show how they will matter this year.
- Paper and pencil
- Digital devices
While we welcome any and every idea, please be sure to keep student faces and names out of any SA pictures you share.
